Description

A mix of 30% paved and 70% loose gravel service road that runs from the base of Solitude Mountain Resort to the base of the Summit chairlift. All of it is steep and a grind. The lowest section runs behind the Solitude Mountain Resort service shops and connects the lower day lodge area to the upper day lodge area via a graveled and oiled road.

The next section (once to the upper day lodge area) is paved and stays paved until you reach the mid-mountain day lodge called Round House, where it then becomes a loose dirt road. The last mile is consists of "baby heads", rain ruts and drainage bars and will take all of your granny gear to get you up.
