Description

Direction: Trail is two-way, but it's extremely difficult to climb up from the south (heading north), so most will want to ride it south-bound.

So, from the north side, this trail ascends the park's huge rock outcrop (the "rock knob") from the top of the ridge there is a very short out-and-back spur that brings you to the highest point on the rock knob. Bonus points to those who can ascend and descend this 'clean'.

Continuing south from the top of the ridge, the descent is currently only mostly straight down rocky/chunky fall-line. There are plans in the works to mellow this out a bit with some switchbacks to make it more sustainable and more 'climbable' from the other direction. The southern terminus is at Old Hartley Road, a wide gravel-topped bike and pedestrian path.
