Description

From the campground, you'll immediately enter aspen forest which provide some amazing foliage during the fall. You'll climb to a high point on the mesa and the trail tread has some rocks to keep you occupied, but not provide too much challenge.

Once at the high point, you'll have a fast descent into the river bottom. This trail can be ridden in either direction but is probably easier if you start from the campground. Use this trail to create a large loop in the La Sals during the summer to stay out of the heat.

There can be cattle out during the summer months so watch out for the giant speed bumps on the blind corners.
