Description
This trail is accessed of the end of
Bovine Nirvana and is a classic Idaho creek ride. The area can be host to bovine grazing activities, so be aware of to stay on the main trail and not venture onto faint side trails.
Other than faint side trails most of this trail is pretty easy to follow as long as you stay in the bottom of the creek. About a 1/4 of the way up there is a road that will take you to the ridge. From this point you are committed to the trail until you reach Sheep Rock. When you reach the top and start working along the ridge to get to Sheep Rock there is Private Property to the south, so please remain on the trail. Once out of the creek bottom you'll work your way across a fairly open ridge out to Sheep Rock. Additional signage will be installed at the top of this trail in 2015 to help direct riders in the right direction.
This trail is great due to the tight and challenging nature of the singletrack and its backcountry feel. If you are looking for manicured trails, then this ride is one you should skip. In the spring this ride will involve a lot of creek crossings, so be prepared to get your feet wet. This is part of the fun of exploring!
