DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multi-use, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and other cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze/thaw during the winter.

Description

Sandy starts off of Tarkiln Branch Road and runs parallel to Grassy Creek and connects with Grassy Creek Trail and Wintergreen Falls. It's a shorter option for getting to Thomas Cemetery Road than Wintergreen Falls.
