Family Friendly On the north shore of Lake Fayetteville the singletrack has a newly added skills course addition with smaller kid friendly features that are geared toward beginner/intermediate riders.

Description

Start the Lake Fayetteville Loop on the right hand side side of the main parking area. This takes you counterclockwise around the lake through open hardwood forests and grassy meadows.

The trail is easy, mostly smooth singletrack with a few roots here and there. There's not much elevation change except for a few shortcut options that dip down and up. Stay right at these intersections to follow the main trail.

Initially the route is in the trees right along the lake. As you travel east and approach the botanical gardens the trail crosses a bridge and transitions to open grassy meadows.

As you make the bend around the far north end of the lake, the trail jumps back into the forest near the big Lake Fayetteville sign. The last bit of the singletrack is a fresh section of pines before jumping out onto Lake Fayetteville Rd.
