West End Trails Alliance (WETA)

The West End Trails Alliance is a group of outdoor users who promote non-motorized (i.e. human-powered) recreation in the West End of San Miguel and Montrose Counties, plus the southwestern portion of Mesa County. This use includes mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and more (birding, archeological trips, general exploration).

Get to know our area – we have 90% of the beauty of the nearby mountains and deserts – with 10% of the people. Imagine, a bike or trail trip where you all you see is nature, not other people. WETA works under the umbrella of the non-profit Montrose West Recreation, which is located in Nucla, CO. Have Fun – Have an Adventure – and Help Support our Efforts!
