Here we have the terminal for the northern leg on the right where the poured concrete ends and the gravel begins. This incline to the river levee, straight ahead, runs behind me along the river for many more miles to the north. The Las Cruces day-use trail starts approximately 50 yards behind me.

North side of this trail recently poured in concrete for the entire northern leg. The southern leg is asphalt with a crushed fine track running alongside it. this picture shows the Trailhead.
