Description

Kebler Wagon Trail is fairly new and offers up singletrack just past Kebler pass. It's a nice alternative to riding the road especially when the road is dusty before the county has put mag chloride on it. With the new trail it also makes for a more enjoyable ride on Dyke Trail Loop if riding from town or riding the loop back up to Lake Irwin.

The trail starts just a bit over 3 miles outside of town off of Kebler Pass road. Look for a brown forest service sign that reads "Kebler Pass Wagon TR No. 606" and a trail that starts to switchback up the hill. After a short climb you'll be a bit above Kebler pass road and out of the traffic/dust the cars kick up. After another 3 miles the trail crosses the highway and continues briefly on a doubletrack before turning back into singletrack. After crossing a meadow you'll cross the highway once more and begin climbing up into a pine forest. The trail intersects once more with a doubletrack and the Lake Irwin road.

Follow the doubletrack to the west - if you get to lake Irwin road, you've gone too far. In a half mile on the doubletrack it will turn back into singletrack with a downhill that ends on Kebler pass road.

This trail has deteriorated with formerly nice "U" shaped trail beds now more "V" shaped with small stones making it like a mosh pit.

Some parts of Trail are V shaped with a lot of stones which isn't fun - so you either swim in stones or create a new trail which is bad form.
