This trail is marked by 4X4 sign posts at both ends and is very rideable in both directions.

It is more fun and less work starting at Ridge Road. There is limited parking along the road nearby. There is also similar parking at the gates at either end of Gilbert Road. No motor vehicles are allowed on Gilbert Road.

The trail passes through different stages of forest regrowth on generally rocky but not washed out trail bed. This trail is often used for motorcycle events but is still fun to ride.

At the end, you may turn left to ride uphill on Gilbert Road back to Ridge Road or continue to Milesburn on Gilbert Road (RT downhill) or Astronomy Trail.
