Dogs allowed, but must be leashed. Dogs are permitted on the beach north of the trail, but not south of the trail (to protect plover habitat).

Description

From the trailhead, the wide gravel path skirts the freshwater Kehoe Marsh where songbirds proliferate. Soon the wet habitat turns to sandy dunes and the ocean appears. In spring (especially April), take a spur trail to the right near a bench to witness an explosion of wildflowers on the bluffs. Retrace the trail back to the regular Kehoe Beach trail for a picnic or relaxing ride the wide sandy beach.
