“An excellent trail built specifically for mountain biking.”
— DJ Nechrony on May 7, 2013
RestrictionsDirectional one-way riding only from top to bottom. Ride up Amasa Back to the start.
DescriptionThis is a fun trail that contours along the rim below Amasa Back road. There are plenty of ride-arounds for the more technical sections. It's a very well built trail. Ride it to the top for outstanding views of Jackson Hole and Canyonlands.
This is an outstanding new singletrack off of Amasa Back. The upper half of the trail is designed for experts with downhill bikes (and skills!). You can avoid most of the larger drops and make it as hard as you want. Once you depart Amasa Back, you keep climbing for the next half mile through a ton of short drops and climbs.
The lower half is almost all downhill and has some cliff edge exposure so heads up! This section has better flow and fewer climbs.
The folks building and maintaining these trails are doing an excellent job signing the trails with maps and directions.
The upper climb can be bypassed by halfway trail to get to just the downhill section. If you're a cross-country rider, this is the best option.
