Description

Root Trail is the longest trail within Oakmont's Falling Springs Park. A few hard climbs are quickly rewarded with a fun downhill.

The property that makes up FSP was given to the Borough to be used as a park, but not much was ever done with the park until a gas well and access road were installed.

In 2013, MTB trail building was approved by Oakmont Borough Council and May of that year saw the first trail construction. The final park trail system should have 2.5 to 3 miles of trail.
