Snow and downfall close this loop in the winter.

Description

The start of the trail is a little hard to find, so take your time on the road to make sure you do not miss the turn. The trail is tucked in away from the road and in the brush, so it can be easy to miss.

You'll descend down Trail 257C to the bottom. This a great descent and is nice, tight and flowy. This trail is a little more primitive and the tread is very narrow, which will keep you on your toes. Once at the bottom of the trail, cross a creek and then come to a trail junction.

You are in tree canopy during the entire descent except through one meadow, so make sure to stop in the meadow to get a sense of your surroundings.
