Typically snowy from November through February. May be closed during the summer months due to fire danger, check with the ranger station for details. Relatively heavy hiker traffic.

Description

Armijo Trail begins just off the old closed road east of Cienega Picnic area. It meanders up the arroyo with open spaces and moderate grades.

Higher in the drainage, there are a couple of steep spots, so be prepared!

As you approach South Faulty Trail, stay left and take the rerouted section rather than the heavily eroded gully.
