OverviewKids Meal is the shortest, easiest trail at Lunch Loops. The trail is great for beginners and kids or a great warm up to riding other trails in the area.
Interpretive signs are present throughout the ride to help new riders with their developing skills.
The loop can can be ridden in either direction, in multiple configurations. From the parking area, ride towards the bike park and through the gate. An immediate left will take you in a clockwise direction. Going straight will take you counter-clockwise.
DescriptionTo ride the loop counter-clockwise, continue straight past the bike park and down the hill to a drainage. Just after that drainage, look for a trail intersection on your left. Follow the route around the base of a small hill and bear right. Kids Meal starts to climb, making two turns to get up on top of the dry silty mounds.
The trail travels outbound for a bit before sweeping back towards the base of the rocky mesa. From here it hugs the line between the cracked earth and the big rocks back towards the parking area along the base of the mesa. At the north end Kids Meal crosses Curt's Lane and continues for a short distance before turning back for another pass towards the parking lot.
The final bit of the route stays low and crosses a dry stream bed twice before retracing part of the route back to the trailhead.
