Description

Pedaling all of Freestone Ridge from bottom to top is something to be proud of!

This is a steep and unrelenting ascent. From the start, you'll see a powerline tower high up to use as a landmark. Pedal as hard as you can to get there, but when you do, don't pat yourself on the back too soon, as this landmark is just a false summit. Looming in front of you the trail only gets steeper.

To make matters more challenging, this climb faces due south and gets no shade, so plan to do this in the cooler months or early in the morning unless you want to feel like a fish in a frying pan!

Going the other direction is a steep descent. Hang on tight and you'll be to the bottom in no time!

If you don't drink tons of water the day before, this climb is miserable. But if your body is prepared, it's pretty great.
