The Cady Hill Connector, these 2 short loops known collectively as The Schween Haus Loops are also know as Stick House and Broken Schweenies, are some of the most technical riding in the Cady Hill Forest. There is nothing intimidating or scary here, but it is nearly 2 miles of unrelenting short steep ups and down with tons of pump holes.
Generally ridden clockwise, the trail can be found just north of
The Cady Hill Connector. Within the first couple feet the trail forks, take this to the left. There, you'll be greeted with a rooty uphill that takes you to the first intersection. At this intersection take a quick left and then right. If the first section of trail was too much, continue to the left on Easy Out and you'll quickly be back on
The Cady Hill Connector.
After some quick, rooty ups and downs, you'll end up the Local's landmark known as Chainring Rock. Its the largest rock you'll ride over on these trails. After chainring rock, make a quick left up the steep switchback climb. This short but intensely rooted loop will challenge you to keep speed, even on big wheeled bike. After completing this loop a left turn will take you back over chainring rock, and eventually back to the Schween Haus Easy Out.
Taking a left will start with a quasi doubletrack, keep your eyes peeled for the singletrack that starts up the hill to the right. After climbing what is potentially the most root infested singletrack in Stowe, you'll be greeted with a final, smooth descent. If you can ride all of this with out dabbing, consider yourself an accomplished rider!
