A fun trail that's not too steep or technical. Also a connector for Weir Canyon Loop.

Description

This trail is fairly easy, but is skinny enough and technical enough to give an intermediate difficulty. Starting from Barham Ridge, Deer Trail begins its descent in big, lazy curves through very pretty chaparral country. The trail surface is mostly solid, but does contain some rocks, loose and embedded, plus the occasional soft sand. The curves turn into switchbacks near the bottom. The climb up from the bottom is mostly the same type of trail.

After a little bit of climbing, the trail ends at the junction of Anaheim Hills Trail and Weir Canyon Loop. Make a hard left on Anaheim Hills Trail if you want to return back to Barham Ridge, or continue straight (right on the map) to explore Weir Canyon Loop.
