Description
Loggers is the backbone for several loops on private and public lands, and one of the original trails in the network. Difficulty varies widely. On private lands, the trail is easier. Once you cross onto Forest Preserve lands, the terrain gets notably rougher. Improvements and repairs are planned, but nothing can be undertaken until an official management plan is approved by New York State's regulating agencies, which we hope will happen soon.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you cross onto Forest Preserve Lands, there is no signage! Heads up! Watch your intersections! You've been warned! Again, the management plan must be approved before formalized management can occur on Forest Preserve lands - including signs!
