Paved highway with sidewalks will get you to the gravel of Government Valley Road.

Note: This is a road with car and truck traffic - it's an option if you want to leave your car in town, but it's not a perfect option for biking.

Description

Park in downtown Sundance on the 100 block of North 3rd St to begin your adventures in the Bearlodge Mountains. Following your ride you'll have access to the Wild West Espresso (coffee shop), 1875 Gallery (art gallery), Higbees Cafe (ma and pa diner), and the Longhorn (sports bar and great food). This is an easy warmup to get prepared for the climb up the Sundance Trail.
