Description
This short trail connects the West Ridge Trail to the American River Trail.

The trail begins at the kiosk on Cronan Ranch Road. There are no technical sections.

There is a splendid view of the Cronan Ranch valley towards the top of the climb, and then it's 'over the top' for a steep descrent.

You can branch off to the left onto the American River Trail towards highway 49, or continue downhill - now on the American River Trail - which eventually leads back up to Skunk Hollow.

This trail is shared with hikers and horse riders.
