Description

This is part of the Alafia River State Park system, an IMBA epic. Located in what was once a phosphate mining operation, the water-filled pits and spoil piles make for elevation changes otherwise unheard of in SW Florida.

This trail is characterized by some reasonably steep hills and banked turns alongside the previously mentioned spoil piles. Unlike most large loops in the system, this trail is one-way, starting at the trailhead and dead-ending at the River Loop. No more Wacky Wednesday.
