“This trail has great flowing, winding and rocky singletrack.”
— Markk Knowles on Apr 9, 2013
OverviewAlthough the GPS track starts from a small paved access area, many find it best to park at RC Willeys up the road to avoid problems with the landowner. The first mile is paved, drops into a dry water detention basin, then the singletrack begins for a great 10 mile loop.
There are a variety of options in this trail network with more springing up lately. Some of these dead end and some are shortcuts. There are no other names that I could find for these variations. You can't really go wrong...it's all fun!
Need To KnowPlease do not drive your vehicle into the paved access road. This area is restricted.
DescriptionBears Best is located in Summerlin, west of Las Vegas off the 215 Beltway and Town Center Blvd. The trail begins with about a mile of paved access road followed to a dirt road to the west the ends at a water detention basin. Sail down the cement basin to a singletrack trail on the other side.
From here there is a section of BMX like flowing turns. A few shortcuts have developed - try to avoid these to get the full ride. The builders of this trail did an excellent job using the natural terrain to its advantage and getting the most trail in the space available. There are a lot of small fun rocky obstacles and smooth flowing trail as well. Enjoy!
