This trail is for winter use only when snow covered.

Overview

This is a fun, fast summer trail that is groomed in the winter for fatbike riding. Overall, this one is fast and flowing with a parking lot expansion planned for the fall of 2016. Donate to
NMMBA to help fund a well pump.

Description

This trail is a strict one-way trail (for 2020, it has been flipped to clockwise, with 2021 returning to counter-clockwise and flipping back and forth every subsequent year; even years = clockwise, odd years = counter-clockwise).

The main singletrack trailhead is located in the southeast corner of Traverse City. The easiest way to get there is to take Hammond Rd until it curves around and forms High Lake Rd (if you go straight to Timber Ridge turn around). Take the first left which will be Supply Rd and stay on that for about two miles. You'll see a brown sign indicating the trailhead which will be in 400 feet. It's easy to miss so keep your eyes on the right side of the road. The trailhead is on the left side of the road and has plenty of parking and a restroom.

A pretty flat twisty run through the woods and by a lake. Not much challenge but still a nice ride for the morning. 18.5mi — 1h 45m
