Description

Please observe the signs and stay out of the raptor nesting areas between February 1 and August 31.
Lots of brand spanking new trails at this winter/spring riding gem. One of COTA's newest efforts does not disappoint - with curly, flowing singletrack and some modestly technical rock sections right along the Deschutes River canyon rim, there is something for the novice and expert to play with here.

The newer singletrack sections are narrow and soft on the edges, so watch out, there are plenty of opportunities to washout the front tire.

With beautiful views of the river and mountains, this new track is already getting a lot of attention. The 25 parking spots at the new Newcomb Road Trailhead were all taken on a recent Sunday, but only two of the 18 horse trailer slots, so all's good.

There's a restroom and several picnic tables at the trailhead.

The Juniper Trailhead to the north is an optional starting/ending point for this ride.

Fast and flowy - better at lower temps as the bit of moist freezes and the dirt turns into concrete! 17mi — 1h 43m

Road to the rim and came back via the road. Wouldn't recommend the road.
