Description

Located a little over an hour's drive northwest of Washington D.C., in Montgomery County, MD, this new 2011 built trail is featured in the MoCo Epic and is the result of the stellar partnership between MORE and Maryland's Dept. of Natural Resources.

This ride begins at Riffle Ford Rd. and is typically enjoyed as an out and back to/from the old Black Rock Mill. The Seneca Ridge Trail ("SRT") connects Schaeffer Farms to Seneca Creek State Park. The terrain is a mixture of fast flowing singletrack, roots, some rocks, a few log-overs and creek crossings many of which are bridged and a few that may get your feet wet at high flows. It is a shared trail with hikers, horses, and trail runners.

Fairly good conditions starting out, with just a few low spots still wet, but mid-ride downpour made it pretty greasy. Give it a couple of days to dry 11.3mi — 1h 40m
