Description

Starting at the Lucia Falls trailhead inside the Moulton Falls Park, the trail climbs immediately upward from 450' to 1600 in 1.5 miles. Don't despair, the view at the top is worth the effort. The climb is, however, brutal. It's mostly rideable for stronger riders, with a few hike-a-bike sections for the rest of us. Once you cap out at the top, there are a few lovely spots to take a few photos and give your legs a break. Then enjoy some flowy downhill for the next 1.5 miles.

Enjoy the next few miles of a mostly relaxed and easy-to-ride singletrack, with only a few a few short climbs.

At mile 4.1 you'll enter a clear cut area. Stay on the trail until you hit a logging road then hang a left and climb up and around a small hairpin corner. At mile 4.5 (ish) you'll see the trail on the left hand side of the road. Drop off the road onto more singletrack goodness. Continue on until you hit the campground. Take a break before reversing and heading back to Moulton.

For the rider looking for more adventure, head out of the campground and hang a right down L-1000 to Larch Mt. Or pick your way over to the Cold Creek campground and Tarbell (L-1000 to Dole Valley and a left down to the campground)

Both trails are close by and worth checking out.

5 stars for a well-made trail that pulls no punches. Both lovers of chunk and lovers of flow can find something worth enjoying here and it's a great starting point for a bigger adventure.

Near the top of the lung-buster climb, just a short steep is all that's left before you reap your downhill reward.

Its a technical singletrack. Big roots and rocky sections that are fun to go down but hike-a-bike the other direction, worth the black diamond rati…

Rode it from the Cold Creek parking area as an out and back. Old clear cut sections are now pretty overgrown, but rideable. Nice backcountry feel! 14.4mi — 2h 12m

First real mountain bike ride in quite some time and this trail quickly reminded me I'm not in the shape I thought I was! Loved the trail
